Tamarin Bay is known for being a wonderful surfing spot. The bay was also named Santosha as the locals did not want outsiders to discover their surfing waves.
Highlights
Le Morne Brabant is a peninsula at the extreme southwestern tip of Mauritius. Its summit covers an area of over 12 hectares (30 acres) and was a refuge to the Maroon slaves who escaped from colonies. In 2008, Le Morne Brabant was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
